The challenges facing all of us during this time of economic downturn must be confronted in a positive way. Here in Banff and Buchan the traditional industries like agriculture and the marine related sectors as well as the oil and gas sector are key inductries that must be developed. We have a skilled workforce capable of grasping the opportunities presented through renewable energy, be it wind or wave power. If you agree with the local Liberal Democrats then please support us with whatever help you can offer on a strictly voluntary basis
Our UK leader Nick Clegg MP is spearheading our campaign to strenghten the Partys voice at Westminster. The Liberal Democrats are now the only party that can deliver social justice in coalition with the Conservatives. We will continue to work toward a fairer Britain.

Lyon: UK Government must act on feed-in tariff ruling

George Lyon, Liberal Democrat MEP for Scotland, has called on the UK Minister for Energy and Climate Change, Charles Hendry MP, to come to a decision on whether funding through the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) scheme can be awarded in conjunction with SRDP funding.
