Malcolm Bruce MP is supporting British Heart Foundation's campaign for National Wear Red Day on February 26th and calling for Gordon residents to join him.
As part of national heart month, British Heart Foundation (BHF) is aiming to get Britain wearing red on Friday 26th February and give a donation of £1 in support of their pioneering research and patient care.
BHF are also drawing attention to their BEAT code The code is four simple steps to improve heart health and comes with lots of practical advice on how to live healthy, heart friendly lifestyle. Mr Bruce is proud to wear a BHF red pin badge on National Wear Red day. The pin badge will be available from all BHF Shops, Argos, Homebase, Lloyds TSB, Halifax, Bank of Scotland, Fitness First and Lidl for a suggested donation of £1.
Speaking about National Wear Red day, Mr Bruce said:
'Heart disease is the number one killer in Scotland, causing more than 10,000 deaths every year. I know of many constituents who have been personally affected by it."
